the first one has so much better lighting, the second one has the merlion blown out.

other than correcting the verticals, i suggest a more squarish crop here. the space on the right doesn't work so well, so you can lose some or even all of it.

Thanks for your comment. Agreed for all the comment but i quite reluctance to crop the picture.

how long did u wait there between the nite and morning shot? nice attempt. perhaps you should wait few more hours for another sun rise shot too.

hmm, This the sun rise shoot for me , the sun is rising opposite direction.

if you do post processing in photoshop, you could have underexposed the sky for the merlion, and then bring out the sky using photo editing tools.

#1! its nice the way it is, but a crop like what n86m said wld give it a more focused direction on the center... but it might give u weird reso ratio..

may i suggest u up the low light detail for the morning shot? though now the color looks saturated, it is abit dark and lessen the vig. effect.

LOVE the morning shot. i just realise theres that One Fullerton metallic "structure" thingie now that i see your photo never noticed it before.. it looks almost as if u typed it out on the image
