Like to find out is Sigma Lens suitable for E420

Just went to the IT Show last nite, and saw the Sigma lens for 70-300mm range and was told that I could use on the Olympus E420. Like to get more sugguestions before diving in to get the Sigma Lens.
Is there any difference on the photos taken from Olympus and Sigma?

Any kind bros, pls. help advise.

Need advise by today so I can rush down to make the purchase. Btw, is the pricing cheaper then the Local cameras shops?
