Default Finepix Z33WP

Anyone bought it yet? Looks like a fun n funky camera? IT Show selling $349 with alot of crappy freebies. Am sure the regular shops can offer cheaper.

If IT show is $349, you probably can get it below $300 at MSC, AP, etc.
Agree the camera looks pretty cool and I think its weather proof too.

ok thanks. Maybe I will head to the regular shops at Funan to ask around! Its waterproof up to 3 meters n dust proof (according to Today's IT Show supplement). But not shockproof. Just want to use it to take candid shots of my nephews at the pool!

I think it is a nice camera. The black one & blue one looks nice. My fav colour is green but i won't get this green one, it looks kinda like a toy. I think this camera is cool becoz despite it's low price, Fujifilm did not sting on it's features. Though not to the extend of having optical image stabilizer, it has a 2.7" LCD screen of 230K pixel.

updates:

I bought the Blue Z33 at IT Show.

Cash Price comparison:
CP: $310 (4GB card + Case)
J316: $305 (4GB card + Case)
IT Show: $335 (2X8GB Cards + Case + 1 spare 3rd Party Batt + screen protector + mini tripod=> quite useless)

anyone tested the camera and care to share pics taken with it? i have bought mine but it totally sux to the max and when compared to my z3 (a old model of finepix) it simply pale in comparison!!! i am so totally disappointed with the cam and have thought of selling it already when it is barely 2days old. =(

I am wondering if the salesperson have given me a defective set? the test set was so much better. the SR mode sux, so is the auto mode! why does still flash in board daylight? and all my pictures came out slightly whitish and FAKE!

can anyone advice? is it possible to go an exchange with fujifilm since it is barely 2 days old. i am so upset with my purchase.

z3 is still way much better than z33wp in terms of pic quality. Pics taken with z33wp is way to overexposed!

someone, pls enlighten me if my prejudice against the cam is wrong./ =(

I share the same frustrations when using SR mode. Its totally CMI. The flash overexposes everything.

I tried using the M mode and adjust EV downwards. +2EV, 0EV and -2EV all look the same.

Only landscape mode in daylight still ok. dunno whats wrong.

Go for F200EXR, you will never regret

i wonder why would anyone go lower than F200EXR when clearly that's the winner from fuji.

it's ok. lesson learned is important. anyway you can always make the full used of whatever cam you have right now. it's the person behind the cam and not the cam. make it work!

really so bad ah this cam? planning to buy a point-and-shoot waterproof camera, comparing this against the olympus ones and pentax optio w60.

if u shoot someone near, say within 1-2 meters, with flash, confirm overexposed.

otherwise, for general usage, not bad as u can see from above photos.

Had a chance to use it underwater this weekend, not bad also. Not sure about olympus and optio. U can ask around the other 2 sub-forums for feedback.

But since Z33 cost only around $300, cannot hiam so much lor. Shutter, playback and zoom response all agonisingly slow.

thanks for the feedback. i have a pentax optio water-resistant model from way back, think it's still in working condition but technically can't shoot underwater.

probably have to visit the shops personally for a hands-on before i can decide.

can set the EV -2/3 and see how it perform...should help to cut the overexpose..
