    IIRC, there should be a few ways to do so.

    Converting the colourspace to Greyscale should be one of them.... google up for more info...

    there are many ways to create a greyscale image
    there is no best way, just which works best on your particular image

    Fastest way is to turn on the B/W settings in your Camera. Instant B/W pics for ya!
