There's another thread on it, but the TS "found" it and closed the thread, so I'm starting a new one.
Where can I get high resolution drum scanning, and what would the cost be like for a roll of 35mm film? Is there any use of drum scanning for print film? or it's only any good for slide film? the miao lan scanning is not bad, but the resolution isn't very high. not sure if it's hardware limited or limited by the film's resolution. but I'd like to see if i can find even better quality scanning. i intend to upload these film scans for stock, so i'd like a bigger picture size if the film "supports" the higher resolution I actually don't need to scan the entire roll. individual frames will do. but if the price is right, might as well have the whole roll scanned.

any feedback on alfred Lau's film scanning? he seems to offer a pretty high resolution. at least higher than what i get currently from the shop i send my film to. price looks decent, but the sample on his site is not really high res.
http://alfredlau.wordpress.com/ no affiliation to this chap whatsoever. but i'm gonna send some film for him to scan and see if i'm happy with the results.. ok, update, Derrick (another guy offering this service) has replied to me. really need this as my film scans are getting rejected for crap reasons like "The optics of your scanner may not support the resolution of this file. It appears exaggerated in color distortion, chunking and/or poor focus. Please try rescanning at a smaller size or downsampling the current file" i guess scanning at the shop is a waste of money and not to mention not getting the quality i need.
