Default Question about Tokina 11-16mm

Currently i'm using a Nikon D90 and getting this 11-16mm soon. I just wondering if i'm going to change to Canon in future. Can this len be mounted on Canon DSLR. Do i need to buy another converter or something?

Please help me with this. Thanks

apparently there are adaptors to mount nikon mount lenses to canon. but it might be better if you bought a canon mount tokina and sell this instead. alternatively, get the 10-22mm canon.

If you thinking of changing system, better hold on to your purchase first...

Unless $$$ not a issue for you, you will end up spending more to buy converters or selling and buying the same lens (different mount) again...LPPL...

Anyway, which Canon system you are interested in?

I am also pondering seriously recently whether should I jump ship to a 2nd hand 40D for it's good ISO performance (good for indoor) and solid body with access to many good Canon L lens and also can get Tok 11-16 as well... But have to lose the good in-body IS, Fast Liveview of my a300 and good CZ lenses....

Decisions decisions....seems like quite a hard one to make, esp in these economical market these days...

BTW, whats wrong with D90? I am also considering this as well...(due to Tok 11-16 which is only avail for C and N only)

I'm considering 50D. due to posioned by my friends. And i find that Canon has better colour skin tone when taking portraits and there are much more lens than Nikon. But well too expensive with those L lens.

There is nothing wrong with D90 at all. Great DSLR.

so wanna consider mine? hahaha..

Great choice on the 50D!!! Have tried it as well as 40D, it seems to shoot forever at 6.5fps like a machine gun!!! I am really impressed by the performance, somemore, it has no CF Card when I tested it at Courts Tampines, just using internal memory....

Actually I would have gone to D90 or 450D if not that my spouse would be using the cam to take pictures of my son...It's very difficult to convince her to use the viewfinder as she already complaining the camera is quite bulky....and she only agrees to my DSLR purchase after seeing the quality of the pictures comparing with the previous PNS i had...

Anyway, I also agree Canon has more lens lineup than any other manufacturers at this point in time and quite affordable except L ones...

You didn't consider 5DMkII?

In fact, most of the time we itch to change system is due to our never-ending curiousity to try out new things....like cars, gadgets, women....
