Hi guys, I am considering the S5 Pro for my graphic works. I love the colour and the dynamic range it produces. But I am wondering if this pro cam is any good for serious enlargements. I am looking at working with images that I can blow up to A3 or A2 sizes. Since it is a 6MP camera, it stops me from taking it on. Any experience from any of you guys who is using this cam for sizes stated earlier? How is the image resolution like? Is it any better than those cams like the Nikon D200 or D80 with 10MP? Please share your experience. Thanks.

sorry to cut in. but what kind of advantages, changes and improvements will i get when upgrading to an s5pro from a d40.
i did a fair bit of research already and reading threads in this sub-forum but i rather hear it from users to support my own observations in case they aren't construed properly. thanks ![]() |

well a camera afterall a tool that aids in taking photos...that means alot depends on the shooter..but having said that..what s5pro shines is its pleasing colours and dynamic range..if you are looking for high speed..fast continuous...im afraid this is not for you...
take a look at the photos posted in this forums..they are unedited..guess pictures do speak a thousand words!!.. ![]() |

There are 6MP R and 6MP S (not sure I remember the terminology correctly), so theoritically it is 12 MP camera. But having R and S occupying nearly the same spot is like counting one spot twice. Many have remarked that the scheme Fuji used is more like a 9MP rather than 6MP or 12MP.
See Thom Hogan's review. If S5 is considered 12MP, then my S2 is also 12MP, albeit interpolated... It is 6MP. |

According to Thom Hogan in his S5 Pro Guide E-book, the image quality of this camera looks more like a 9.5MP than a 6MP.
