Default Poll for (ex and existing) S602Z users

Another poll for the users of a popular camera. Did a similar one back in July
http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=39352

I've sold mine and moved on to 300D.... back then I thought I would keep it whatever happens...

Yup, the only way to go from a 602 would be DSLR. But I am looking forward to the next Fuji DSLR, with the SR technology, as I fine that dynamic range is the biggest crippling lack in digital photography.

Although the results form the F700 doesn't seem to to way too impressive, it is still better, and a DSLR witht he SR should be better than the F700.

But I believe that Fuji will go with the 4:3 system and move off Nikon bodies. That will limit the lens choices, at least in the near future.

Still holding on. Won't sell it unless I get to DSLR.
Anyway the new models have artifacts and noise even when downsampled. The actual increase in real-world(not based on charts) resolution seems minor.

A 6MP SR sensor with higher colour depth would be a much stronger pull.

Personally I don't think that will happen. Fuji's commitment to 4/3 seems questionable. They appear to be waiting to see if there is sufficient market acceptance of the format before plunging in.

Even in the event that they release a 4/3 based SLR, I doubt they would forsake the F-mount and give up the goodwill and ready market garnered by all the current S1/S2Pro shooters waiting to upgrade.

Well, even if you get your DSLR, hang on to your S602. It's a very worthy back up camera.

yup, kinda regretted selling it The 2nd hand price of the 602Z isn't even enough to cover the cost of a brandnew 100mm macro lens from the original manufacturer.

You could have gotten 2 2nd hand 105/90mm 3rd party macros for that money.

The S602z is really a timeless classic so to say. Would really hope to keep it as backup should I ever upgrade the DSLR.

Yeah, the 602 certainly a very good back-up camera.

Cost, cost, cost.

up for the Tuesday crowd

compared to the previous poll, it seems like a greater percentage has moved on to DSLR.... less people are thinking about other options now.

Last count was close to 70 S602 users logged with Clubsnap. The poll is at 24 now.

Probably all too busy with photo taking or year-end exams.
