Just FYI, it may not be very good for adults to take too much fat but it is a different case for babies. Babies need a high fat diet as it is essential for brain development and body nutrition. Even young children would be well off with a high fat diet as their brains are still developing. Of course, there are different types of fat. Saturated fat is not good. Get the good fats into your babies and children... they will become smarter... hehe...

As for the difference in fat content of different formulas... perhaps those with higher fat is to help babies on the thin side to gain weight?

My boy was on the breast for 1 year, after which we tried most of the brands on the market with little sucess. (Wasted quite a bit of $$$ in the process) so the advice given about getting your hands on samples first is an excellent one.

In the end... He drinks Ol'Skool Nespray. No funny DHA, ABC, 123, or $%#! additives.

cheep and good. not that I'm complaining...

I think quite subjective, as long as the baby like it and nothing wrong, then just keep using it. The most expensive is Enfralac A+ stage 1 ( born to 12 moths) , A can of 900g weight costs $41.x at NTUC, $ 43.x at coldstorage.

By the way, does anyone know where can find Japanese brand milk power such as "snow" in SG, as most milk power are EU or American brand, actually Japanese version may be better for Asian, it is not as sweet as most of the EU or American brand.

To TS, you may want to find your answers in the Singapore Motherhood forums. Loads of information over there.

Like many have mentioned, as long as your baby takes the formula milk, it should be ok.
