Product Photography

Just a quick question, i have a 450D, with 50 F/1.8, kit lens, 24-105 F/4. Will be looking at doing product photography in a light tent, would it be necessary to use macro lenses? and if so what sort of focal length? looking at taking pictures of items about the size of coke 1.5/2L bottles and smaller.
