bro haslan, regarding about the blur shots made from your macro,

i suggest, you use the manual focusing, then try to go back and fro from the subject, try to get the minumum focal length from you and the subject.

haha. i know this post is from the last thread. Just wanna be sure that bro haslan read this

Haslan .. I would suggest you try to only reverse the 50mm without the kit lens. I know the post that you saw has 2 lenses placed back to back (well front to front actually ) but that actually gives you a lot more magnification and that might make it hard to find the right distance.
Basically the 50mm in reverse is like a +20 diopter. It is like putting a magnifying glass in front of your kit lens. If you dont put the kit lens and just use the 50 in reverse, it will just be the magnification from the 50mm in reverse.
if that does not work .. try and see if you can set the kit lens manual focus all the way to the closest (all the way to the left i believe)

I am hoping to get a dedicated macro lens by then as well .. but i will definitely bring the reverse mount and the extension tube at the next outing. only problem is .. that outing is really big (still crack up when i remember the 16 people shooting 1 animal). not sure how feasible it is to do any discussion with a group that big. hopefully the macro specialist from canon that we met that day can turn up for the outing as well so we have a resident expert

Bro. we can break into small groups during and after shoot. Like previuos outing, chief will give briefing before we start. The non macro just need to know to give wide berth to macro .. or the butterfly will spit at them instead.

For me, I wanna try shoot children/people.
