450D at $1299 good?

Hi guys, i intend to get a 450D. was at courts earlier and they have a promotion at $1299 until 28th feb this saturday. promo includes a tripod,2x 8GB card, 1 extra original batt,2x taka voucher and the rest standard kit.
i may be using credit card to purchase it, either 1 time payment or installment.
anyone got better deal out there to recommand me? thanks!

not bad leh. haha. i'm using a 450D too. got mine last year from harvey norman (jurong area) for about $1400. came with everything but the 2x taka voucher. hahaha!

but maybe you might like to check out other camera models. i heard there are nikons going for like 900 bucks. wkao eh.

yeah, what vouchers and what tripod really affects your decision. haha check out the canon price post and the bns section first Iif you dun mind 2nd hand) to gauge the price.

checked and found out paying cash is much cheaper. as i still need to get a canon 100mm 2.8 lense.

i am not sure of other ppl views, but somehow, i think buying a camera at mega electrical store like courts, best, or harvey is errrrr.... too diversified??

i would prefer to shop at camera shops like John 3.16, cathy photos etc etc...

$1150 from AP.. no free stuff except those from canon if u buy before 8th march.. batt, lens book or bag, 450d book, and a 8g SD card.

the last set of sunday papers got one article on list price of harvey norman, best denki and courts... based on my reading understanding, courts have the highest list price... but u can quote a "pluck from the sky" price, and they will try their best to match... ur bargaining skill must be good as well....

yes can.. but no matter how u bargain..the px will either be as cheap as the usual HDB store or slightly more expensive.. but u get to compare all the stuff u want in courts (say TV)..

try those in expo sales, sometimes its cheaper there..

but as for camera, i prefer to buy form a camera shop..
