Ok, I know I am in the wrong thread but the fellows in the UV/IR thread ain't helping me on this hence I am posting it here... I am kinda persistent. hahaha
Was wondering, has anyone tried IR with hoya r72 filter with a 5D here? I tried and followed the steps by steps even to the point where I still left the filter ON while doing CWB. HOWEVER, my greens still came out... green... I did the same steps shown in that thread on canon ixus and it came out good. but why 5d can't? Is there any magic formula here? |

If I'm not wrong, all Canon DSLR has a filter in front of the sensor that blocks out IR. So you can't take IR pics despite using the r72 filter unless you mod your camera to remove the filter (can't remember what's that filter called). Maybe the IR experts can advice....
