I think 2nd hand price in Singapore is a bit too high. 450D would be even worse coz its kind of new-ish.
Try ebay USA/UK/Australia for 2nd hand body only. Then you can make pinhole in ur lenscap and travel with body only without any lenses. |

There is a very active buy/sell sub forum here, go check it out.
I thought the prices there are pretty reasonable. Best part is you can meet up with the seller to physically inspect & test before paying. You know you need lenses right... else you will really need the pin hole ![]() |

My guess is that you are fairly new to digital photography. Yes you can just buy the body alone. But i will recommend you get the 450D kit that comes with the 18-55MM IS lens. You just need to top up around 150 more to get a fairer cheap and good lens.

Thanks for all the precious advise people.
![]() Idea of getting the 450 body only is for my partner use. coz it's light and good for her to carry around during her business trip. we've ask the price at Parisilk HV last night, it cost 900+ before tax.. thinking 2nd might be good enough... Also I'm helping her to decide which lens to get either: 18-270 Tamron/ 18-200 Sigma/ Canon (out of budget) I used sigma 18-200 before, but it's kinda heavy.. quality wise, which one better? Tamron or Sigma? ![]() |
