    Ya.

    Things FOR the MacBook Pro
    1)Its a Mac
    2)OSX
3)Ultra large laser etched glass multi touch pad(image iphone as a touch pad)
4)Ultra bright LED back lit LCD monitor
    5)Ultra sexy CNC-ed aluminium
    6)Attention to details.
7)Runs very cool according to lots of reviews(around 30-40 degree celsius. In singapore maybe almost 45 degree celsius) due to the whole body being a large heat sink.
8)REALLY long battery life for a laptop comparable to net books(MBP 17 inch)
    9)DDR3 Ram
    10)Back lit keyboard
11)Your buying the thinnest and lightest and longest battery life laptop
12)Bootcamping of windows entirely supported by apple

    Things AGAINST the MacBook Pro
    1)Its a Mac
    2)What the PRICE?!
3)Specced much lower then it should be at its price point
4)WAY WAY WAY to glossy screen
    5)Non removable battery

For me I think you should get the macbook if you have the money. I'm pretty sure it will last you for the next 3 years and more
