    Default Tu Tu Kueh Lovers

Which fillings do you prefer? Peanut or coconut? Coconut - orange or brown sugar? Or peanut & coconut mix?
I am all out for peanut only.

Share your favorite stall! Are you willing to pay $2 for 5pcs, $2 for 4pcs?
Boon Keng Mrt, nearby coffee shop. $1 for 3pcs. I just got to know Vivo city food court selling 4pcs for $2, so expensive...

    Any contributors welcome.

Used to love the peanut version, then the orange coconut. After that, it was the Malay version (sorry forgot the name) that's about 3-4" in diameter and filled with broken bits of gula melaka and you eat it with white grated coconut. Nowadays, I'll still look out for the Malay ones just for old time's sake.

Yes, smell the pandan and feel the soft flour lingering in your mouth. Ohhhh man..

By the way, Tu Tu with plain water- best!

Yum yum. I like the gula melaka version the most, but can't take too much at one go as it feels a bit too sweet after a while.

Tu-Tu appears to be done by Chinese hawkers, and Putu Piring by Malay hawkers.

Hmm ... once upon a time inb the 70s, 50 cents can buy enuf rice to feed an entire family and 20 cents can buy a large plate of char kway teow!
