I doubt one month will make any difference. Think no stock now. Price will tumble when there's a bundent of stocks. This is my first DSLR as I wasn't ready to dump $3000 to get a 10D.

As mentioned, price may drop depending on supply. But I think the prices are already very good now (not as good as the States though).
btw, do you have a camera now that you intend to sell off? If you have, you have to gauge whether the 2nd hand price will drop as well in one month's time. |

Do I get 300d or 7x7? Some claimed that there is an insane difference between them...

Cameras like the 717 are great all-in-one bodies. These are handy when you don't like fiddling with different lenses and putting up with the weight of several lenses banging around in your bag. 300D, like all DSLRs, are infinitely flexible at the price of weight. To cover the same focal length of the 717/A1/828, you'll need at least 2 lenses. This adds to the overall weight, inconvenience, and cost. Are you willing to bear with it ? They are overall more flexible of course. 300D also has the advantage of having much lower noise at higher ISO. Most prosumers suffer from noise the moment your ISO goes above 100. In DSLRs, the noise becomes noticeably worse at ISO 800 and above. So DSLRs are great for low light photography. The exception being the A1, which due to its image stablelizer technology, can be used at ISO 100 even in dim light. |

Mostly still shots. I hate noise
I'm basically attracted by 300D's low noise level, but isnt sure if 717/828 is sufficient for me. Memory sticks are a minus. Is carrying around 2 lenses sufficient? If 2 is enought, it isnt too much of a problem for me. |

the 300D is extremely good for low noise level. i'm very sure that the 717/828 is nowhere close to the 300D.
2 lenses is sufficient for almost all kinds of shooting oredi. |

One lens is actually enough to cover the range of the 7x7... just get a Tamron SP 24-135 (~$600). After taking into account the cropping factor, it's ~38.4 to 216mm.
