Well, if I can get to 12 cm to the butt, I can shoot it...

Many butts there but couldn't shoot most of them as I didn't bring my 40D & Tamrom 90 Macro there. Working distance of the Raynox meant that I can only shoot the small butts and also those that do not fly off when approached...

Dunno why but I generally find I have better luck approaching the smaller butts than the large ones...

But this is the first time I managed to get to 12cm of the butt and getting a few pics before the butt flies off.

I was there for only abt an hour but shooting for roughly 40 mins or so. Didn't really go ard searching for insects as it was hot in the afternoon and I just wanted to take a walk ard the place. So juz shot wat I saw. Also saw a couple of tree snakes, many birds & a few squirrels there..

Yup, I'm also thinking of going there again next Sat. Maybe you arrange and see if anyone else interested to go. This Sat will be going to SBG...

If I can find the time tomorrow, I may go to Sungei Buloh.

Usually I try to start my shooting at ard 9.30 and end ard 12pm when it get hot...

For SBG I never went past the Swan Lake area. My shots are usually ard the entrance area and also at the trail near the Swan Lake. If you want to shoot macros throughout SBG, it'll take you a day...

Do you think will be better to meet at JP (New Wing) and set out together or meet there?

I think better to meet at JP new wing first because the bus 985 that goes there is abt 25 mins frequency. U miss one bus, you might end up 25 mins late...
