Interesting captures! #5/#6 might be the bird-dung crab spider, hard to spot!

Was half hoping you took one of the blue bee. heh

Hope u found the place interesting. I didn't have much captures, will post some in awhile!

There's no pond nearby leh, maybe you're referring to another place? U actually need to do some climbing before u see that there's a trail and its totally deserted.

Hi Peter, I think you mistook the place with AP. I didn't go to AP today. Went to the other side of Rep Poly where there is a trail at the end of the road leading to nowhere...

Yup, it could be the bird dung crab spider. Didn't know what it was so just took 2 snaps then it just started moving to the bottom of the leaf and to the ground level where I lost it...

Wasn't looking for bees this time round. Was actually looking for JS but the two really small ones that I found were not in the mood to be photographed...

Place is not bad, at least it's cooler than AP but bending down to look for the tiny critters took a toll on my back and I stopped shooting after an hour as my back was killing me.

Time to get an angled viewer.

It was the searching for the small critters that was killing my back...

Don't think an angled viewer can be used with my Canon S3 though and doubt it will help me look for the small critters either...

The power of raynox....interesting subjects. I went a week earlier and captured only 1 butterfly. Saw a bulldozer somewhere inside, so made a u turn and came out from another path.

What's that in the first shot? Looks really tiny and cute!
Other than the red cricket (hand shake blur?)and first black beetle, the rest of the shots looks good, especially the Lynx spiders

I was actually thinking it was some plant matter when I first saw it, so I just took a snap of it to see what it was. It's pretty small ard 2mm or so.

I think the red cricket is due to either handshake blur or the leaf moving when I shot it. The black beetle actually moved when I snapped it the first time...

I saw many butterflies there but didn't take any pics of them even though I had my 40D and Tamron 90 with me as my intention was to take the smaller insects...
