Not bad, you're improving post by post as I said in my previous post. Now to work on the DOF which means using a lower ISO and aperture.

Using F2.8 will see quite a shallow DOF in your pics although you get added brightness in your pics. Your pics show little or no signs of handshake, so you can actually try up to F9 or F11, and go for slower shutter or higher ISO.

Hi Kihunho, I notice that you shoot without flash. With a flash, we normally are able to push our aperature to F16 and beyond. Maybe you can try different shots with and without flash and compare the results to see which one works best.

![]() As for aperture, try to use f7.1 and smaller to get greater DOF. Do take note though that you shutter speed should be ard 1/125 since you are using the Sigma 105 macro lens. This will reduce to chances of handshake. Also, use your flash when taking macros. Onboard flash, set it ard -2/3 to -1 ev. That should give sufficient fill light for taking macro pics. If using external flash, set the flash power from 1/4 to 1/8. |

Different photographers have differernt way of shooting their objects. Like me, I like to shot without using ext flash. Mostly using nature light from the sunlight with the help of a reflecter. I love to create a colourful back ground with my main object, as you can see from all my post. I don't like dark or black background. My settiing was ISO 400-500, aperture at f/8 to f/11 sometime ever higher and all depend on the speed on shuffer I will get. As Macro anythings around 1/60 to 1/125 or 1/200 will be do. So if now someone thown a flash I don't how to use it. Cheers |

I saw u had a 430 hotshoe flash if I m correct....u may wan try out a LumiQuest Mini Softbox for the flash as I hv seen the lightings from softbox is quite nice
Direct flash w/o diffusers are always harsh and normally I use it for fill in. If u balance flash with ambient lightings den it will b nice... |
