Default Film Speed

hihi
Would like to know whether there would be any different if I adjust speed of film read by camera (i.e. i insert ISO 200 .. then change setting to ISO 400 or insert ISO 400 .. then change setting to ISO 100)

i saw the graininess when i change ISO 200 to ISO 400... would there any diff if i do the inverse?

This is call pushing and pulling films. And yes, there is a difference from normal use. Usually it'll cost the prints to be more grainer...

This is called pushing the film. You're get a grainer print if you process the film right. This means that the processing time for the film will be longer. What happen is that all your shoots on your film will be underexposed and the lab will compensate this by submerging the film in the developer for a longer period of time.

We usually push films when shooting under low light condition with a slower film or to get a faster shuttle speed suitable for hand hold.

Generally this should be avioded if you do not want grainer prints. Effects are the same for pulling the film if I'm not wrong.

pushing and pulling applies well on slide films.. As for print film... the printer will adjust the final output.. so, you dun see much...

Have fun!
