Default My Valentine

For Valentine day, I got the BBKF again. This time I use a torchlight to light up the subject as its about 7:14pm and available light was not much. Shot at ISO640, f8, 0.8Sec.

Jason, the bird do move sometimes so have to shoot a lot of shot lor. No luck with the Owls today. Last night when you all left, we heard the owl called. Still processing the rest. Out of 230+ shot tonight only about 100+ remains in my Harddisk.

Another shot from another angle but this is with fill-in flash. ISO200, F9, 1/25 Sec. Shot with my backup 40D.

So how's your torchlight dinner? I believe you are not the only one trying to have dinner with this beauty on Valentine Day.

How did you manage to not scare the bird away with the torchlight?

It hard to explain but I guess, torchlight are less frightening than burst of flashes. Birds are not even afraid of a couple of flashes so torchlight wont matters to them. The gentle light would be more soothing to them.

Only 3 of us left. One was too young to have a GF. the other 2 of us really stretched our time. Was quite pleased with the result.
