Any DSLR to recommend ?

My friend has a SLR film camera F55D kit which comes with a AF Zoom-Nikkor 28~80mm f/3.3 ~f/5.6 len. He also had a 75~240mm f/4.5~f/5.6D.

I am not a Nikon user myself. So I need your help.

Should anyone rate the above two lens ?
Should we be able to use these two lens for any DSLR ?
Should we invest in any DSLR ? If so, please recommend one or two ?
