Here's a series taken of a major myna scuffle... Thought this might be interesting here. C&C welcome.
![]() ![]() 1. The scuffle just before the birds fell off the edge of the awning. ![]() 2. After making a lot of noise on the ground, and getting all the dogs in the neighbourhood all excited and barking, they came back onto the awning to continue their fight. ![]() 3. Two against one... |

![]() 4. Get em... Here's a slap! ![]() 5. Take that!!! ![]() 6. Let me at em... ![]() 7. OK... You win... I give up... Let me go... The myna that lost the fight really got pounded. Even "pooped his pants" during the scuffle when one of the birds jumped onto him. (see shot 6 & 7) |

I've witnessed birds fighting on several occassions. I usually get upset about it because I not like to watch fights (except in kungfu shows). Poor bird!

Agree with you totally. This is really the first time i have captured a bird fight. Watching it happen right outside my window was a bit scary as the anger in the fighting birds can clearly be seen, and the noise from 3-4 birds was unbelievable. Funny thing is when I looked at the shots that I managed to take afterwards, I could really see the anger in the birds' eyes in almost all the shots where I could see the eyes. Furthermore, some of the captured action/stances even resembled human beings in a street fight. A few birds were ganging up on one, and they were going at it to cause hurt to the one. All the while, the one being attacked was trying desperately to escape while fighting back. Yes... I was unlucky enough to have witnessed a street fight when I was a student in the US years ago, and the scene is still stuck in my mind. It is definitely not a pleasant memory. ![]() |
