    Post Rob Galbraith: Nikon unveils AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G

    Nikon today has unveiled its widest aperture DX-series lens to date, the AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G. With a field of view equivalent to about a 52mm lens on a 35mm sensor size camera, the new Nikon optic combines a fast f/1.8 maximum aperture, one aspherical element, Silent Wave focusing and a nine blade diaphragm for natural-looking out of focus areas.

    Sheessh.... why DX?

    Make it non-DX and more can use mah... haiz think go back to the 35 f2 better...

    It's more for D40,D60 series as a substitude for the 50mm 1.8D.

    I think there is a typo on the number of blades. According to the brochure: http://www.nikonusa.com/Assets/Camer...Sell_Sheet.pdf

    This lens has only 7 blades instead of 9.

    For the price range one can not expect a 9 blades aperture
