Good shots of Sheba and Inuka.
I was at the S'pore Zoo in Dec 08 and these 2 beauties are such an attraction. |

Thanks very much for your explanation. Is there any other way to tell Sheba and Inuka apart other than size? Thanks.

thanks tanhb for the explanation. As to differentiate sheba and inuka, just looked at the color of their fur. inuka should be a bit whiter than his mom. The color of sheba fur should looked like in the first photo. And sheba likes to hide under the stone structure while inuka will pace to and fro at the enclosure.
But...the best way to differentiate the both is still to looked at their size. Inuka is way larger than his mom. Anyway, sheba birthday will be this coming saturday. And yes...Inuka is a full fledged Singaporean. ![]() Last edited by ShadowWarrior; 12th February 2009 at 12:40 AM. |

Is the morning or afternoon a better time for photographing the two polar bears? I mean any issue of backlighting? Thank you.

The photos were taken during the final token feeding time at 4.45pm. I don't think there will be an issue with backlighting with the current weather condition and the enclosure is well shaded from the sun. It's more of the low light that you need to worry more. When I shot those underwater photos using the 70-300 VR, it was quite a struggle. Bumping the ISO helps though...

THanks for your reply. What ISO did you use for underwater shots? |
