I think Fujifilm uses back the same body design as F100FD, thats why its still the same f3.3 stop..

There is no need to go to the Japanese site, unless you prefer to and can read Japanese

would be nice if it had a 24mm wide end and aperture of f/2.0-2.8 like the lx3.

The lens not that extremely sharp though.. I somehow feel the camera lens performance was stagnant since F31d.. any1 agree? :P Last edited by Saycheese78; 5th February 2009 at 07:14 PM. |

Let's see how the actual pictures measure up to the F100fd which is the closes sibling in the stable
For PnS, my priority in choice is zoom range and high ISO noise control. |

So I did a little experiment. I took the images at ISO 1600 and downsampled the 12mpx to 6mpx and compare it to the EXR-NR mode at ISO 1600: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3425/...869ca039_o.jpg As you can see, the NR version retains a lot more details on the cactus when compared to the downsampled version. The noise behavior in the shadows is also better on the EXR-NR mode. As for the DR Priority vs non-DR, I struggle a little to see the difference. It seems like there are more details, crisper and better contrast, especially on the buildings, but I can't really say conclusively. The only area I can conclusively say that the DR version has more details is in the water. But then again this could be due to wind... Look at the water in the following image, there seems to be more details in the DR Priority mode. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3315/...552ffdcc_o.jpg Photo credits all belongs to: http://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/cda/re.../05/10144.html Last edited by lightsabre; 6th February 2009 at 01:09 PM. |

Wha this camera will kill off the old F31 for good with the new CCD EXR !!! Last time people keep on saying F100FD no fight with F31 end up it also hit the top list of dpreview as one of the best camera !!!
Photokina 2008: Fujifilm says its new Super CCD EXR technology will allow its next generation of premium compacts to produce high-ISO images "superior to the F31fd," while also offering improved dynamic range in other shooting conditions. The technology is already fully developed and will be integrated into the first camera in time for a spring 2009 launch. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0809/08092308fujifilm.asp http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/Q408...oup/page12.asp |

Someone caught this at dpreview...
F200exr does not have an iris diaphragm for aperture control... it uses a constant aperture and stops down via ND filter... Which means, no DoF control. See user manual for proof: http://www.fujifilm.com/products/dig..._manual_01.pdf no real aperture = fixed DoF at given focal length = deal breaker for me... |
