Looks like is is gonna be expensive.

For the same amount of money or lesser, it may be worthwhile splurging on the LUMIX DMC-LC1 instead (although they are outright different cameras).

I read that the lens of the CM is possibily the same as that of the Minilux, and the photos of the CM body do not suggest that you can use filters with it (But I could be wrong as a seperate filter adpater can be screwed over the lens, just like the Contax Tix). Quite a few useful additions though, such as the hot shoe and faster shutter speed.

I'm sticking to my Contax T3.

I got mine BRAND NEW from Hong Kong for about SGD850. Have it for more than a year already, and only passed less than 20 rolls through it. Used it primarily as a backup camera, and I never had any problems with it. Buying one in SINGAPORE will set you back by much more.

we agreed on S$500 if the condition of the camera is good.
how is the metering of T3 ?

Look up www.contaxinfo.com and www.photo.net and read the numerous comments. The only irk that most people have has to do with identifying where the focus point of the camera is.

Hihi! How much do you paid for the Leica CM?

I can't remember, but I thought that it was going for something like SGD1,300? At that time, I was aware of some chip issues with the Leica CM, as such a recall which prompted me not to purchase it. I am not sure if the issue has been fixed with the later batches, but I do remember having read through it somewhere.

Wondering what can one do if they got the defective shipment.
Can they go back to Leica to ask for a chip swop?

It ought to be covered under the 3 year warranty. Check with your dealer or the distributor (Schmidt).

Er.... not sure if its defective...... got good photos out of it and dun't have any user preference in the camera that the camera will reset.
As for the battery meter, its never given me any strange readings so far.
