Yes, there are a types of lens cap available for your rolleicord: rubber type of metal one. size is Bay 1. Price wise: metal one is more expensive, mint ones can go as high as $80. Anyway, don't pay more than $50 for a user condition one. Try prime camera or hotshot. They should have.

Too bad, the case of rolleicord is about $30 (v good condition). Max. $50 for like new ones. Reason: it's much easier to find such cases than those caps. Rarity is the word

Dont bother with the lens cap. Too much of collector items so very ex.
Just put on a UV or skylight filter. In this case, you have to get 2 since you have 2 lens. Costs about $25 for Hoya. |

I have never used my Rolleiflex TLR with case (these case used to be called Everyready case, but to me, it's more like never-ready
)I don't use the original brown leather strap either. I use a Nikon strap (those used in FM2 that type)... you need some skills to attach a round ring through the rollei though. Don't worry about the vibration. I reckon that the rollei is of a simple design/construction and is pretty rugged. A decent cam bag should provide enough cushion' My advice is that forget about the case and the filter (unless you are going to shoot B&W, then a yellow filter is a must). Go buy a lens shade (size: Bay 1) instead. Not only it will prevent your lens from damage, you are less prone to have flare in your picture. Again, expect to pay $50 to $80 for one in good shape. Check around (TCW, Prime, Cam.X or Hotshot... those not mentioned here & you know who are those, AVOID!) If you still can't find one at a reasonable price, PM me. cheers, Nescafe |

If you are not particular about the brand of the hood, Hotshot used to carry some generic ones. Some rubber ones too.

Hotshot is specialised in all stuff Rollei. They have quite a good range of Rolleiflex TLR, Rollei SL66 series (6x6), Rollei 35SLR and even Rollei 35/35S. The boss Jo is a rollei fan himself and he gets most of his stuff from A...er oversea.
So if you are looking for things Rollei, this is the shop to search. Their prices are generally reasonable (not cheap, but not too excessive also.) Quite friendly too. They don't have a website and they don't open on Sunday (used to be open, until recently ). Quite primitive mode of doing business still. |
