Hi to all Macro shooter out there, care to join me for a Night Macro Outing at Lower Pierce? All are welcome....

This outing will be limit to 10 people because of safety reason, if by any chance the list grows too big, I'll put
the rest into the next outing if you want, actually I don't mind doing Night Macro every Friday night, I've done
more than 50 or 60 Night Macro, lost count already hehe... That's why I still love it...

Meet up at Prata Shop at Casuarina Rd along Upper Thomson Rd.(Use Google Map if you are not sure).

You can alight at Ang Mo Kio MRT and take bus No:169, Yio Cho Kang might be
slightly nearer but I think no buses going there.

Here's my Night Macro setup, with this setup I can shoot Night Macro solo,
don't need to trouble your buddy by asking him to hold and shine the torch light
for you while you shoot.

The cap mount search light, only good if you use live view to shoot, shooting
through view finder with external flash, the cap will be in the way. You can bring
another powerful torch for searching subject.

#1 Lights mount on camera for focusing.

#2 Lights mount on camera for focusing.

#3 Lights mount on camera for focusing.

#4 Cap mount search light.

#5 Cap mount search light.

Tripod helps .. but if you prefer shooting more freely, try go without one.

Hi Steve, just to enquire, are all the photos on your website taken during the night time(night macro outing)? I am interested in the night shoot but would like to find out more about the outing? Is flash required as I don't have one yet? Are those tools you posted a necessity or can do without?

All are welcome.... This outing will be limit to 10 people because of safety reason, if by any chance the list grows too big, I'll put the rest into the next outing if you want, actually I don't mind doing Night Macro every Friday night, I've done more than 50 or 60 Night Macro, lost count already hehe... That's why I still love it... Meet up at Prata Shop at Casuarina Rd along Upper Thomson Rd.(Use Google Map if you are not sure). Bus No: 163, 167, 169, 855 and 980. I am interested in the night shoot but would like to find out more about the outing? Is flash required as I don't have one yet? Are those tools you posted a necessity or can do without?
