location specific threads..

no intention to go against e mods or anything.. i guess ppl post such threads cux its where we all can find out where&when there're outings org by ppl who stay near us or around us..as its more convenient2meet&travel.. &just afew questions.. other than kopitiam, where else can we post such threads??wld it be possible2create a space so tt such threads can be posted(considering tt there're so many grps or clubs on CS)??

the gatherings sub-forum is originally intended for people to organise outings. however, if you look at it nowadays, it has become a big mess, almost like kopitiam II. the mods generally take a very hands-off approach in looking after gatherings... guess this resulted in gatherings turning into a semi-private kopitiam...

the new guidelines is meant to return gatherings back to what is was meant to be originally - for organising one-off outings.

if you want to have a thread on "whereever/watever-shooters gather", the best place is to do it in kopitiam. if you want to have an outing for 'whatever/whereever shooters', u can create a thread in outing, then link it back to your thread in kopitiam.

cooperation from CSers to maintain the sub-forum for its original purposes is greatly appreciated. thank you.
