Hi Everyone, it been long before we had a Exposer Outing, maybe we can slowly warm it up since CNY is coming to the end.

Everyone in exposer thread is major in different field of photography, i don't mind to teach mine to those who are seriously interested.

Hopefully at the end Dec 2009, everyone had progress in term of skill and knowledge.

    Suggestion are welcome......

    Example of outing:

    1.) Film outing
    2.) Streets
    3.) Macro
    4.) Cityscape
5.) Animal, such as a trip to the zoo or shooting cats.
    6.)
    7.)
    8.)
    9.)
    10.)

A club jazz version (betcha you never heard this one).

    Still, with her voice under-EQed.

You'll have to listen carefully for the genius in her control. Audio's a bit muffled though.

Does anyone remember this song - JAPANESE BOY?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIFWX...eature=related

He said that he loved me
never would go, oh oh, oh oh.
    Now I find I'm sitting
here on my own, oh oh, oh oh.

Was it something I've said or done
That made him pack his bags up and r'un?
Could it be another he's found? -
It's breaking up the happy home.

    Mister, can you tell me
    where my love has gone?
    He's a Japanese boy.
I woke up one morning and
    my love was gone
    Oh my Japanese boy
ooh I miss my Japanese boy.

    People ask about him
every day, oh oh, oh oh.
Don't know what to tell them
what can I say? Oh oh oh

If only he would write me or call
A word of explanation that's all.
It would stop me climbing the wall. -
It's breaking up the happy home.

    Mister, can you tell me
    where my love has gone?
    He's a Japanese boy.
I woke up one morning and
    my love was gone

Birding a bit difficult.....not everyone are willing to invest that money into this field.....for those who already got a DSLR, he/she need to forkout around S$3000 for basic rig or S$10000 for a standard rig.

And most important, most of us don't drive...... need to reach ulu ulu place at daybreak. Then why i seldom shoot birds even i got a basic rig.

    Great move Leong!

Count me in for streets and cityscapes. There's actually so much to explore, besides the typical depictions of streets n city.* I particularly like the way Van has done her streetscapes (Geylang). Van, would you like to consider organising a few mini-tutorials for us? Seeing, shooting and post work?

I would also love to explore:

    - modern stage and performance photography
    - dance photography

Not classical or traditional theatre, but something that allows easier and more access to us. One outing I managed to get permission for us to go on stage and shoot but ended up I was the only one on stage shooting! Going up on stage to shoot was the best move I made all evening!

One possible avenue is to organise a BASIC course covering LIGHT. I feel that there's very little or no understanding of the basics of light where photography is concerned. It's ironical, because light is the MOST CRUCIAL element in photography but very few want to know about it, understand it and learn how to control it.

Instead of just going out to shoot, msbbie can focus more on learning in a more structured way instead of just going out and killing out shutters and thinking of BBB, fooled into thinking it would improve standards and skills.

Aside, I've alredy started a Food Photographers Group seperately, and everyone's welcome to join. http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=468930

If you are gifted to lead, it will come natural. If you are not, like many of us here, plan before you lead. It helps lots as even when you are feeling nervous, you will have all your points on the sheets to read them out.

Just think of them as little mice and you are the cat in control of the situation. Well, the doggy is your teacher of course as he/she overrides.

Practice on your own how to address to a group of peeps. Over time, it will come so natural, you wont even need the point sheets anymore.

Easier said than done, but you are not alone. Even caucasians and movie stars (whose native language is English) can become nervous before an audience. (eg grammy awards)

When i was young, i could not read out a paragraph properly. I put in intense efforts to learn English 3hrs a day on my own for 5 yrs. In the end, i could read like a newsreader and when it came to presentation, i could easily overcome fear as talking became a natural part of me.
