I have recycled for D76. Not sure if it will work for DD-X.
For 1+1 using D76 I did not add new solution to it. I was able to develop 8 sheets of 4x5, 2 rolls of 135 (36 exp each), 2 rolls of 120 in 1.6 litres of dilution solution (and still using the solution). The results were quite consistent. I keep my chemicals is accordian bottles after developing to minimise oxidation and light from entering. I think you can experiment to see when will the developer exhaust but at the expense of some thin negatives at the end of the last roll. But of course if you can, try to use new chemicals for every new processing many as pointed out. YMMV.

If I'm not wrong it's 10% extra time, for each time you reuse the developer.
But that's a ballpark figure, and for me it was written on the box of developer and I just followed it. Didn't notice any problems but I wouldn't go so far as to use it more than 3 times max. (I used it twice then discarded) |

I'm using Tmax developer (1+4), add 30secs for each re-use. But I limit it to 3 times or 1 month from date of mixing.

For Tmax 400, developing time is 6min 45sec @ 20degC, agitation 4 inversion per 30 sec, using a 8oz stainless steel tank.
