Almost perfect - if only it is a constant f4 or f2.8

Interestingly, this is a full frame lens. Although as already mentioned, the aperture is a bit disappointing, and the price even more so. For Nikon users who only want to use it on DX sensored bodies, the 12-24/4 is a much better option at hardly any more price.

YES... an interesting len... esp for Canon user. too bad abt the size of the tread.! Wonder what the price will be when it is release here... or better still WHEN??????

i think it's due to practical constraints. to have a wide angle zoom at that kind of aperture will result in a 1kg+ lens...

hmm..quite small and light...

but cannot put UV filter in front and i am a bit scare of its build after using sigma 15-30


i love my 17-40
