My Writeup on My First Wedding Shoot

This is my first time taking wedding photos (of my friend) using my Nikon D40, SB-600 and kit lens. Yes. Kit lens (mainly my 18-55mm VR and some with 55-200mm VR). I don't have money to get f2.8 yet. All post-processing are done in GIMP.

Choosing which to be B/W, correcting the skin tone colour and colour balance can be a headache. Not prefect photos. But I guess I did learn something. I hope that this is not my last time.

Good try man.. Pretty good for a first shot with kit lens!. Pic9 is good..would be great if you get to stand behind that uncle to frame & capture the expression of the bride and groom..woohoo.priceless! I like the expression of the bride on pic10, but maybe you can compose her on the right of the frame instead..giving here some "space" on the left..Shoot more..more..more...

For pic 9, the uncle is the centre of the attraction. Anyway, it is a bit hard to get behind the uncle. There is simply too many people

Actually, there is a reason why the bride of pic 10 is on the left. It is meant to complement the groom.
