The recording speed is very slow on my CF card, probably faster on Microdrive.
The results are not much sharper than that from a high quality Fine 6MP Jpeg from the camera, probably due to the natural interpolations of the superCCD. The white balance and sharpening is set to off, you will be doing those two in your own digital darkroom. My suggestion, unless you really want to, stick to 6MP Fine Jpeg, with proper exposure and WB, and Normal sharpening, the results are good enough. At least for me they are. |

Not directly from the camera. You'll need to post process in Photoshop (or similar) to improve the quality and to smoothen the 'pixels'. Printing to 4R is no problem, 8R or Super 8R (equivalent to A4) is really squeezing a little tight from this native 3MP camera.
On my home printer, I have actually printed my 3MP images to A4 with only minor softness. Unfortunately, all these are relative. You'll have to try to be sure. Go to established pro-labs for better results. |

TIFF is merely uncompressed, processed images and is not equivalent to unprocessed RAW files. |

Hmm.. possible, sorry, but I confess that I didn't really dwell into the WB and sharpness issues of TIFF too much!
![]() However, the TIFF is certainly free from artifact arising from JPEG compression, and you can squeeze more sharpness and pixel details out of it than the general Fine JPEG at 6MP mode. |

white balance settings and sharpening are applied to the tiff file.
don't think it's worth the lengthy wait and large file size to use TIFF though. the gain in quality is minimal. |
