Hanoi, Halong Bay 2009 Photos

Hi, visited hanoi and halong early Jan and like to share some shots. A very nice place My first attempt at this. C&Cs definitely welcome as I hope to learn more.

Resizing my already resized photos seemed to distort the colors, so sorry if the pix are too large.

Crabs! Used to make paste. They seem to like to turn seafood into paste


U can find all these no.s at every wall. Not sure what it means.

Here are a few more by the way.

Long Bien bridge - a mile long steel bridge in hanoi. Look closely on the otherside and you can see the mass of motors and traffic.


Local children on Cat Ba Island


A Halong Bay fruits seller: these little boats would draw up to the junks offering fruits, food, seafood. you get some selling chips and junkfood too.


Another fruit seller, young boy this time.


Water puppet theatre in Hanoi - very traditional art. I regret not going a clear shot on the puppets though. Too many heads moving.

Hi, nope. Just a little pp on the sky. Other than that, the scene looked pretty much like that as was quite foggy too.

Thanks! Was actually raining the week before i arrived so was quite lucky

Thank you, glad you liked it. on free and easy actually but booked a tour for halong, must be quite difficult to travel halong on your own.
