Can anyone advice if the free training provided by Canon is useful? Anyone attended the G10 tranining? thanks! |

The training is on the camera operation, if you want to learn the art of photography, guess you need to look else where. It is like learning to drive a car vs defensive driving, both cater to different needs.

The training does focus on the camera operations, hence its referred to as product training. I went to the training before. As a 1st-time DSLR owner, I think it is useful. As a bonus, the instructor (at my time) do touch on some basic photography tips.

Also, this is suitable for those who really lazy to go through the manual or don't know which part of the manual is important. Understand the detail function of our camera is important to get good photo.... |

if u have good knowledge of photography, then forget it.
if you are just started out, it will be useful to go even though most of the training can be found in the manual. It is one thing to read, another thing to have someone explain it to you. even though you may know it, it is still ok to go for refresher. strengthen the foundation again |
