Default Extension tubes vs tele convertors

As above. May I know the pros and cons of each? Thanks.

I think they're used for different purposes in general.

Extension tubes is for taking close-up shots. Teleconvertors are for extending your focal range, i.e. zoom in more.

For example, if you use a 2x teleconvertor on a 70-200 lens, your lens will become a 140-400 lens.

Like Karnage said, they're for different purposes

I presume you're thinking of using them for macro work?

taken literally... extension tube vs teleconverter

1 for shooting close, the other for shooting far (respectively)...either way, you'll lose capability on the other end.

But let me second guess... you are asking about extension tube vs close up filter.... then it depends on the native focal length of your lens.
