Hi Gurus,
Can i check if you guys experienced this before? After plugging in the flash battery pack to the flash, the power to the camera body was unable to turn off and you are not able to take any fotos. If you do or you know any place that can fix this, please advise. Thanks, Melvin |

There is Canon Service Center, Harbourfront.
Beside this: what equipment exactly are you using? Which flash? Is it the normal batteries (4xAA) or an external pack? What "power to camera body"? Please describe more in detail. |

The equipment are connected as such: [flash battery pack] <--> [580 exII] <--> [400d body] The camera on/off LED light is lighted up despite i switch the physical ON/OFF switch to OFF position. Thanks for reply, ayeemm54. However, appreciate if you were to read before posting. i said it was unable to off. NOT unable to on... |

Unlikely to find an alternative. Canon does not send around spare parts generously, it's their 2nd source of revenue. Considering the total price of the cam I think SGD 370.00 for the main board is still ok. Did you had any trouble before or just after using the battery pack the first time? Is it a 'proper' pack or some el cheapo? Wondering whether the battery pack has 'roasted' the board.
