Hi all,
Took a walk around the river with the 8banners large format 4x5 pinhole camera and took some casual shots. Shoot on Provia 100 slides with most images should with 6 seconds exposure. Scanned on Epson 4990 scanner and did a bit of post processing....and Voila.... Here's the images to share with all of you. ![]() ![]() ![]() As usual, comments & critiques are welcome. Ahhh....I think a pinhole outing is long due....Anyone interested? |

You make it classic and unique in an old antique way. Nice job. Its really amazing and I say the angles are great.

amazing stuff...
was thinking of aquiring the zero image 4X5 pinhole camera..the idea of a molecular 4X5 pinhole is very tempting..haha especially when it's used for portraits..

Thanks Yatuzza for your kind words.
If you love perspective shots, the pinhole is a great tool for exaggerated angle & perspective. Plus it covers a very wide angle that no lens can cover. & all images are rectilinear, ie. no barrel distortion at the edges unlike fisheye or super wide angle lens. Starvingjack, there're 2 makers of pinhole cameras in the mass marklet now. Zeroimage & 8banners. Personally, I have both. I felt that the 8banners have incorporated more features that had the needs of the photographers in mind. 8banners also allows all graflock back accessories to be attached to it. This is one big advantage that iot has over the zeroimage ones. For graflok back accessories, they range from film back (Horseman, Linhof etc), to film cartridge (4x5) to Poalroid backs.....So the format for image capture is actually more wide. I can shoot from 645, 6x6,6x7, 6x12 to 4x5 and polaroid. The potential is unlimited. If anyone of you is interested, you can visit my pinhole gallery at flickr..... www.flickr.com/photos/8banners I may want to do a pinhole outing soon.....then maybe some of u all can play with the camera I have. |

Hi I'm curious, how much does a 8 banners 6x18 cost? Where can I get a copy of this camera?
