Since many people use Flickr, and I've seen quite a number who have no idea how to do it properly (probably due to an improper understanding of how files actually work on the Internet).
Common mistakes include: 1) Copying image PAGE URL instead of image LOCATION 2) Not using the Clubsnap IMG tags properly This is how to do it properly. Go into your Flickr account. Go to the page with just the image YOU WISH TO POST on it. There should be a row of icons that you can see, like this: ![]() Click on "All Sizes", highlighted above. A new page will open. ![]() Skip the HTML one, unless you want to post it on your blog or something, then can just copy and paste. Select the appropriate size on top of the picture, there is usually: Original, Large, Medium, Small, blah blah blah. Large should be alright, and Medium is definitely safe (500 pixels widest, but a bit small). Copy the line boxed up above. Then post the link the way Darren has mentioned in his Users Guide to Posting Images in Clubsnap Forums. I quote (with some modification):

Just to add on...
Flickr would actually prefer it if the user links back to the photo site with the picture. including the site URL. Last edited by zac08; 13th January 2009 at 08:17 PM. |
