Default Sony HVRMRC1K Memory Recording Unit

Hi

Has anyone ordered the Sony HVRMRC1K CF Memory Recording Unit? Have you gotten it?

I have ordered mine since End Nov 08 through a local supplier and till now, Sony has not confirmed delivery date. Its going to past the 6-8 wks delivery soon and still got no news of it. Wonder if I'm the only one or anyone of you are also getting this "silent treatment". Thanks.

I want to buy one of these also. Expandore quoted me 2 weeks lead time, so I thought I'd wait a while until they are more available. But presumably if your supplier cannot get it from Sony then Expandore will be in the same position.

Hi

Just got my Sony MRU over the weekend after the long tedious wait. Works like a breeze with my XHA1 on 50i HDV. Have yet to test it on 25P HDV and DV.

Only pain is that it does not comes with Battery/Charger (since I don't own any Sony Camcorder at the moment, got to buy the battery just for this device) and any CFs (a litter surprise that I don't even find a single CF in the package, at least the DR60 comes with the HDD...). Got to run to SLS to grab both after receiving the delivery.

However, the Cache mode is tested and amazingly helpful to ensure that I would not miss any key moment. But I got to learn to ensure that that I don't change the CF immediately after pressing Recording button (to stop recording), got to give it 1 to 2 sec to write the video into the CF before pulling it out (when the Red LED on the device stops blinking). Lost one footage due to that emergency changeover....

Anyone knows where I could get 32GB 200X CF (or 133X) in Singapore at reasonably good price? I can only find the 16GB Sandisk III in SLS. Thanks.
