Which is better? A holga with or without flash? |

The one with flash is better, however after using it for once, I sold off mine coz I simply don't like the plastic feel. Perhaps you'll be better off getting a Seagull TLR...

i read that the batteries dropping out of battery compartment of the flash version holga, causing it to spoil some photos... yea the holga is boring (1 shutter speed! and 2 cheapo apertures) you can modify it for fun tho
![]() after awhile so i sold my holga off too... besides mf is not that cheap to process and print. i guess if you wanna shoot mf get a tlr like a mamiya c330 LOL or seagull tlr, or russian lubitels (not too sure about the quality). i gave up on holga and got myself a 500cm. world of difference. i still love my lomo tho.. its a fun cam which gives you full aperture control but uses scale focusing. i don't think seagulls vignette do they? i think they shoot rather good pictures for that price?

precisely.. i think that the vignetting feature of a holga is really interesting and that's why im still using the holga! have considered getting a seagull too but i think that would be very different from a holga..
well at least give the holga a try..its pretty interesting! my holga doesnt have flash though... |

Okay okay, holga's are functional cameras. vignetting is a nice touch to it. but i hate the part where you gotta shove pieces of the film box to make the spool "tight" LOL. don't even think of using the strap, i almost lost my roll of film cause the strap is connected to the pins that keep the camera back in place.
its abit too flimsy for my liking. oh... and look out for people just wondering what kind of camera you're holding, its a experience. 50+ bucks for it, its plastic and feels really cheap / light. damn light. like nothing at all. i didn't believe the internet sites until i got one myself. haha enjoy your holga moment. hey chyeo, would love to check out your kiev 88 too! i almost bought a salyut-c, but i got a 500cm instead. which lenses do you use? i'm sure you've got more than 1 lens? i unfortunately, can only afford 1 lens for my hassy. haha... perhaps in time.

I'm getting a holga mainly because i would like to experience the unpredictability of it.
But i heard you can;t mod a holga that comes with flash. ![]() |

thats why!
i strongly recommend the non-flash version. there are no batteries that will interfere with your film etc... you can get a seperate hotshoe flash from k-13 at peninsula plaza. for about $12? just ask for the cheapest flash they got. i'm pretty damn sure the cheapest suntax flash they sell is better than the holga's built in flash. also what if the flash of the flash-holga breaks down!? haha.... at least for the non flash version, you can just buy another one haha...
