    high noise pictures can be very artistic if u can process them.

    or else you can go along with primes like the 50mm f1.4 or sigma 30mm f1.4

    Look like shooting at ISO 1600 is the limit used in wedding shots for APS-C sized sensors...

    Normaly we try to stay between 800 - 1600 for better results. For new cameras like D3, D700 or the love of my life 5DMKii, you could go up to iso 6400 with no problems. I personally have to purposely add noise to my 5Dmkii images to make it look more film like.. hehe

    Yes, a small sensor with a high number of pixels means that they will be squeezed tightly together causing the noise problem to get worse. Only the Full frame cameras have much better noise control as they have more room to dissapate the pixels.

    Highest i'll go is iso800. Normally if i have to go beyond that i'll use flash instead.
