only the 28-75f2.8 and 180 macro has been released

I think the 17-35 f2.8-4 will be a 17-40L alternative
70-200f2.8 will be competing with the already crowwded lens selection space - Tamron will play price on this lens
200-400: No other competitor You got my heart on this one

It's 200-500mm not 200-400.

It has a competitor... the monstrous Sigma 50-500mm f/4-6.3

Both do 500mm at f/6.3 but I prefer the Sigma for it's abiity to get real close at 50mm too.

It has SLD glass like the Tamron's LD but has the HSM advantage over Tamron.

Being a wide angle man...

I will be keeping my eyes on the 17-35/2.8-4.

Hopefully, it will not be as disappointing as the sigma version.

yah har..... never take that into consideration. So the only affordable 500mm one is the Bigma (Sigma 50-500mm) that AF.

But the latter weighs a ton man.......

Strangely, the 50-500mm f/4-6.3 is also higher than f5.6 at the 500mm end, but I have seen some owner using at night and is able to AF.

Any expert or lens owner care to shed some light?
