would prefer a closer view so as to avoid the distracting background

Thanks!

My lens was already pressing on the leave. Just gotten +2 & +4 close-up filters, hope that can bring me closer to the subject. I'll try to get a cleaner background for future shots.

BTW, what apperture size should I use? Should I keep everything sharp & crisp or keep a shallow DOF?
