Default Lifting of Cable Drum - how it works

Some record shots to share from a recent cable drum lift.
full series can be found here: http://www.pbase.com/zaren/cable_drum_lift

#1 With the 180T mobile crane in position. the low bed trailer carrying the cable drum is parked nearby, riggers attach the sling to the cable drum and she's ready to go. Liftoff!

#2 The 20T cable drum is now in the air, making her way slowly but surely to her destination, making sure that she steers clear of the street lights.

#3 Touchdown! The cable drum is gently lowered into place as final checks are made for the alignment. Clear hand signals are given throughout to guide the crane operator during the lifting operation.
