for this kind of photography, you need a lot of patient.......some times i hardly get five shots for a whole 2 to 3 hours of a morning.
go early in the morning.....about 7am to 7.30am. they are not so active....easier to get them. can try out BG, AH or SB. .......have fun.

Hey! Well done, Marcus. This is the kind of pictures I particularly like, perfect background with sharp and well composed main subjects. Good one!

Jesser is right. You need to have a lot of patience. Try till they are tired of flying away.

Do you guys think that doping these flowers with pure honey will attract these butterflies and bees to stay put for us to snap and snap?

These insects never seem to stay still for me to take a single good shot

I think it is a big no no for honey or other stuff on the flower.

We dun wanna be attract ants to the flower, right?

The answer is NO and not recommended. Some flowers may not survive ...

Noticed you got the ID wrong. You've captured a Blue Glassy Tiger.

A Dark Glassy Tiger looks like this. Noticed the unbroken blue strips. The Blue Glassy's strips are broken.

dnka, u are not alone. I had a hard time telling the difference too till azone referred this thread to me -> http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthrea...ghlight=glassy. Take a look at the illustration by Gan.

Once again, tks for all the encouraging comments, guys.
