    Default LCD color contrast

    i have this problem.
After taking photographs, i will do some touch up in photoshop.
Stuff like contrast brightness and colors.

The colors appears rich and vibrant on my LCD then uploaded onto my blog. But when viewed with other people laptop, the picture became pale and dull.

    How do i correct this?
How do i know what i see, is what people see?

You may want to read in Digital darkroom about monitor profiling, colour space etc.
    A couple of questions:
    - Do you work on profiled equipment? What software do you use? Which OS?
    - Which colour space do you use for editing?
    - Which colour space do you use for export?
At the first glance I'd guess you are working in AdobeRGB colour space and you export the picture in the same colour space. But most of the PC's, laptops etc. only work on sRGB. Due to the differences in the colour space pictures in AdobeRGB appear dull and less vibrant on normal screens when seen with applications that cannot handle AdobeRGB.

Check this site for further details and tests: http://www.gballard.net/psd/go_live_...profiles.html#

as per what Octarine mentioned, a simple test for the TS: open your blog page with IE and the image in Photoshop... do you see the difference colour...

Feed Google with "Adobe CS4 colour space" and you'll find this: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEff...66C5D6EAa.html
Replace "CS4" with your version if it's not CS4.

Adobe RGB is for production purposes. If you want to use it for screen you should use sRGB.

And also, remember to check your Proof Setup to see the difference when viewed on a Windows RGB, Your calibrated monitor's RGB, and on a Mac RGB
